Easy Patriotic Pulled Pork

Easy Patriotic Crock Pot BBQ Pulled Pork – Serves 8

  • 3-6 lbs. Pork (Country ribs with/without bone, Boston Butt or Picnic Shoulder)
  • 14 oz. can of beef broth (not condensed)
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 16 oz. BBQ Sauce of your choice
  1. Rinse and dry off pork with paper towel.
  2. Place in a 6 quart crock pot/slow cooker.
  3. Scatter the onions over the pork
  4. Pour broth over top of pork and onions
  5. Cove and cook on HIGH for 4 – 6 hours or on LOW for 8 – 10 hours.
  6. Remove pork from cooker and shred with two forks.
  7. Discard fat/bone/gristle/broth.
  8. Return the meat and onions to slow cooker
  9. Add the BBQ sauce until the meat reaches desired degree of wetness
  10. Heat to serving temp and serve on sesame seed buns or hoagie rolls. Also goes well with some fresh slices of watermelon and chips at your next cookout!
